Mad to Live is a blog by fitness instructor and freelance writer Sophie Everard. We were briefed to create a logo that captured Sophie’s interests and vibe. With a nod to a retro surf and skate design influence. Shortly after the logo creation, we were tasked to bring the entire online brand to life. We worked together to understand the needs and vision as a new blogger. And how to showcase her personal brand as it evolves.

The requirements were simple, a blog focused website that can be easily updated from anywhere. We were able to create a responsive site that showcases Mad to Live through full width imagery and different areas for Sophie to update as her personal brand grows. As well as live social feeds keeping viewers up to date with Sophie’s current activities.

We expanded the Mad to Live design kit with three sub brands; Shred Ready Surf Fitness, Shred Ready Snow Fitness and Shred Ready Beach Fitness. These are bespoke workout classes which Sophie leads. That are hosted at the Quiksilver & Roxy showrooms on Brick Lane or filmed on location as fitness videos on the blog. Most recently we helped launched Mad to Live Retreats, adventure packed women’s fitness and surf experiences. Curated and customised retreats that Sophie hosts in Bali, Costa Rica and Portugal.

The result is a vibrant brand aesthetic that reflects Sophie’s personality and active lifestyle. Manifested in a platform for Sophie to blog and edit on the go. Perfect for her adventure seeking schedule. Recently, Sophie has been working with Nike, Roxy, Plenish, GoPro and Ivy Park. And Mad to Live has been featured in Women's Health, Elle, i-D, The Guardian and Get the Gloss.

Solution based and innovation driven, Recur Studio have captured my creative vision and business model, ensuring creativity is reinforced by strategic planning and realisation. Effective time management fused with a personal and bespoke service has ensured a highly successful and consistent brand launch which I have been delighted with. I look forward to continuing the journey, thank you guys!
